Reporting a mistake in a text
This is the most useful message you can send, and it gets priority. To make it quick to act on, please include:
- The page, either its title or the link.
- The line as it appears on the site, and the line as you know it.
- Where your version comes from, if you can say. A printed pothi or aarti sangrah, a temple, or a family tradition are all useful, and the name of a book is the most useful of all.
Every correction is checked against published sources before anything is changed, so it may take a little time. If a reading turns out to be a genuine regional variant rather than an error, the page will usually be updated to record both.
Requesting an aarti
If a text you recite is missing, tell us which one and, if it is a regional or family tradition, where it is sung. Requests are added when the text can be verified against two independent sources. Some cannot be, and in that case the honest answer is that it will not be published, and we will say so rather than leave you waiting.
