AartiLyrics (aartilyrics.com) publishes the lyrics of Hindu aartis, stotras, chalisas and daily shlokas in Hindi, Marathi and Sanskrit, with English transliteration and meanings. This page explains what information the site collects when you visit, why, and what control you have over it.
The short version
You can read every page on this site without giving us anything. There is no sign-up, no login, and no newsletter. We never ask for your name, address, phone number or payment details, and we have no way to accept them. The only data involved is the ordinary technical information your browser sends to any website, plus cookies set by Google for analytics and advertising.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting server keeps standard access logs. These may record your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page you requested, the page you arrived from, and the date and time. This information is not linked to any identity and we do not use it to identify individual visitors. It exists so the site can be kept running and secure.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. This site does not set cookies of its own for tracking. Cookies on aartilyrics.com come from two Google services described below. WordPress itself may set a cookie if you leave a comment or log in as an author, which applies to site staff rather than ordinary readers.

This site displays advertising served through Google AdSense. You should know the following about how that works:

- Google uses advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.

Children
This site is a lyrics reference and is suitable for family reading, but it is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please write to us and we will remove it.
Your choices
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings, and you can browse this site with cookies blocked. Some Google features will simply not load. You may also use the opt-out tools listed above. Because we hold no account and no personal records, there is nothing stored on our side for you to request or delete.
